Days in Paris

I am officially the worlds worst blogger. I thought I was organised enough to balance a blog with uni but as soon as coursework hit the desk, I completely failed at updating my blog. Now I see why it's a full time job to so many people! I am off university now for a month or so and hopefully will be able to balance the work and blog much better so I thought I'd start with a nice little Parisian post, not the usual outfit but more of a travel.

Double Trouble

 Top - RIVER ISLAND
Jacket - PRIMARK
Shorts - PRIMARK
Shoes - PRIMARK

This co-ord definitely confirms what I have been missing out on in Primark all these years!
I found this little beauty in the Manchester store and fell in love. I am all about polka dots and scallop hems so this had to be bought and for the price was such a perfect buy (around £25 for both).
Like any other girl too, I absolutely love a good pair of heels and at £9 who could resist these really! I have a penchant for anything red and these were perfect for this outfit for a pop of colour.
Primark was an absolute hidden gem in my life and now I see why everyone in Manchester has a bag!

Seeing spots

Jumper - MISSGUIDED
Shorts - TOPSHOP
Boots - PRIMARK

Despite my last post promising regular posts, I have fallen so behind again!
I have unfortunately been battling with coursework and illness which has meant I haven't had much time to shoot any outfits.
These photos were taken pretty quickly and aren't the best quality but I promise I will try to sort some better ones over reading week and my 21st birthday week!
I've had these shorts a couple of years now and never really worn them but when I saw that oxblood was back in this season, I am very glad I decided to keep them!
I was looking for a top to go with these and what's better than a cosy little cropped misguided number.
These boots are a firm favourite and at just £12 (I think?), an absolute bargain!
I have scheduled and planned my posts for the next few months so hopefully I should be able to keep up with this much better!!

Sunday Sparkles

TopTOPSHOP
Jeans TOPSHOP
Shoes - PRIMARK
Bag - VIVIENNE WESTWOOD (similar here)
Watch - MARC JACOBS

I'm so disappointed I have fallen so behind on blogging but I started my third year at university last Monday and have been inundated with work already (help!)
Hopefully from now on I will be posting 3 - 4 times a week.
On Sunday I took time out to go to a restaurant in Manchester for my cousins birthday. It's pretty well known with Mancunians called 'Wings' and is filled with plates signed by various celebrities.
As it was a Sunday night I went for a casual but still dressy outfit with this lush lurex glitter high neck top from Topshop and my favourite go-to jeans 'Joni' jeans from Topshop.

These jeans have been a firm favourite since they first came into stores but they've been made with a new stretch fabric that makes them literally the comfiest jeans ever.

This beautiful Vivienne Westwood was a treat I bought last New Years Eve with Christmas money and it will continue to be my baby and come out year after year! Handbags are my weakness and absolutely an investment I stand by.

Finally these Primark boots have been mistaken quite a few times for the Topshop heels that are similar. Only the Primark version were a third of the price! I have been missing out on Primark for years as I have never had the patience to shop in such a huge shop filled with people but I've finally taken the dive and I have found some absolute spot on buys that I will hopefully blog about in the near future!

Winter Blues

Coat - RIVER ISLAND
Top - RIVER ISLAND
Skirt - ASOS
Boots - NEXT

I am so ready for winter now, don't get me wrong, like every other person I love summer but I hate the transitional phases. I just want to wear cute coats, hats, gloves and scarves.

As I mentioned in my previous post here, I am hooked on tartan/check (think I should've been born Scottish). I bought this gorgeous skirt as soon as it came in stock for a friends 21st and I am so glad I did. It's super soft and to size and will be a winter wardrobe staple for me.

This absolute beauty of a coat is from River Island, it was almost impossible to get hold of in smaller sizes but thankfully I was able to get my hands on it through store order (they have extra sizes especially for this!). Elle magazine are also currently running 20% for the October edition which has to be redeemed in the first week of October (I think) but it definitely saved me a few pennies!

River Island should be running a student event with 20% off soon for all fellow students who fancy a lush coat like this!

Tartan Tubes

Trousers - ASOS
Jumper - MISGUIDED
Boots - ZARA (similar here)
Hat - Primark
Bag - Primark

I am still very much getting used to outfit posts and just generally blogging but hopefully I will get better.

I have been lusting after this jumper for a while which is part of a co-ordinate from Missguided.
It's super fluffy and so comfortable I've seen a lot of people asking on Instagram comments about the sizing of this but it's definitely to size with more than enough room so I'm glad I didn't size up!

Tartan is my absolute weakness. These pants are a dream. I have been cursed (or blessed, whichever way you want to look at it) with a bum and as most pears/apple shapes know, tube pants are not our friends.
However, these beauties are definitely a friend everyone needs. Super stretchy and they keep everything in place. Even Nicki Minaj could shoe horn herself into these.

Unfortunately the boots are now sold out but I was kindly given these by my aunt who has the most sensitive feet ever and can't walk in anything remotely fashionable so I often get her brand new shoes that she has never worn! yay for me! - not so yay for her.

Finally, unbelievably I have never been in Primark until a few weeks ago. I'm a super lazy shopper so places like Topshop and River Island that colour co-ordinate and put outfits together on my behalf are my holy grail. I am literally the biggest convert ever though, it is so worth the extra shopping time and I have found some amazing buys including this hat which was only £8 compared to the £20+ elsewhere but was the last in black in Manchester (still available in Burgundy!).

Hopefully I will get better at this blogging business but maybe not?

A peek into Ibiza

So I thought I would do a lifestyle post as I have been home from Ibiza a week now and everyone who has never been there for themselves always asks me what it is like.

I think people aren't sure what to expect as if you have never been, chances are your opinions will be formed around the news (total over exaggeration) or like me and my boyfriend; Kevin and Perry Go Large. Which is surprisingly a good reflection of the clubs actually.

People also always ask what it is like to go to Ibiza with your boyfriend and actually it's surprisingly common. I've been four years in a row now and have been five times in those years and I'm seeing more and more couples every time.

Obviously it isn't the place to go if you are expecting a nice relaxed romantic holiday but if you're both up for a laugh, it's definitely not embarrassing to go clubbing together like people probably think!
Unless you get simultaneously chatted up by the shot girl and a 38 year old man from Burnley whilst stood together at the bar. It's all fun and games though.

I wanted to blog all the pictures I thought best gave people an idea of the day and nights in Ibiza!

Enjoy!

Ibiza style diary - day seven

Top - ASOS
Skirt - Previous season
Bag - Zara Espana
Sunglasses - Forever 21

I wanted to post these Ibiza posts much sooner but I've been rushed off my feet working and with my best friends 21st so this is my final Ibiza outfit post!

It was the cheapest outfit to put together as the top was just £6, the glasses £4.50 and the bag £10 (about 12 euros). My mum bought me this skirt around 4 years ago and I've never really worn it until this year (it was obviously way too uncool to wear clothes your mum bought you when 16). I found it hidden in my draw and realised my mum had had it spot on all those years way back.

I am hooked on stripes and nautical fashion and have been for a couple of years, anything with stripes/anchors, I have to have so this look for me was probably my favourite of my day looks.
It's not particularly 'out there' but I think it's definitely good enough for a beach day!

Ibiza style diary - day six

Body - RIVER ISLAND// Shorts - RIVER ISLAND// Clutch - TOPSHOP// Sandals - BOOHOO

I bought this body at the start of the year mindlessly with no idea when to wear it. Ibiza of course is the home of backless bodies and denim shorts so I finally had the perfect place to wear it!
It was super cheap but with a gorgeous print which a whole collection in River Island was based around.

I blogged about the shorts here but they continue to be the comfiest shorts I own.

Ibiza style diary - day five

Cover Up - ASOS// Sandals - PRIMARK// Bag - ZARA ESPANA// Sunglasses - TOPSHOP

This is my absolute favourite cover up of all, I bagged this beauty in the ASOS mid season sale, such a good summer purchase. It's perfect for covering up post lunch bloating which is exactly what I used it for after lunch at Cafe Mambo.

These sandals are incredibly comfortable, they were my first ever Primark buy and I am so thankful I bought them. They were my blistered feet saviour and for £8 worth every penny.

Ibiza style diary - day four

Top - RIVER ISLAND// Skirt - TOPSHOP// Shoes - NEW LOOK// Bag - BOOHOO

I have been pretty terrible at keeping up with blogs whilst in ibiza but it's all pretty busy and I haven't had much time to just sit! I am on my final night in Ibiza but I will catch up on outfit posts once home as I have taken the pictures but just had no time to blog about them.

I have posted this top before on my Marbella style diary but I wanted to restyle it with a skirt I bought in Newcastle way back in April. I haven't had a chance (or more likely it has been lost in my wardrobe) to wear this skirt so Ibiza was perfect for it. Granted, it is mostly denim shorts and bikini tops everywhere you look here but I definitely can't pull that look off.

I also love the monochrome look so paired this with my favourite boohoo clutch!

Ibiza style diary - day three

Top - RIVER ISLAND// Skort - RIVER ISLAND// Shoes - NEW LOOK

Although I wanted to post mostly daytime outfit posts, I couldn't miss out some of my favourite evening outfits.

I fell in love with this skort online and went to the shop to find it ASAP. I actually got stuck in it and had to be cut out in the changing rooms as the zipper had broken and came off it's runner (cringe). I had to search everywhere for another as it had sold out and decided to have the concealed zip (nightmare zips) taken out and have my own put in.

I have thankfully not had to be cut out of it since.

Ibiza style diary - day two

Bikini - TOPSHOP// Shorts - ZARA// Kimono - MISSGUIDED// Bag - ZARA ESPANA// Sunglasses - FOREVER 21

I am a hugeee fan of Topshop bikinis, they just get it right every year. I got this apple green check one from the student event in May at Manchester Arndale and it's the only teeny weeny bikini I own and love. Most of my collection is high waisted or swimsuits as like most girls I'm pretty self conscious but this doesn't squeeze you to death and doesn't hug the wrong parts so I'm sold. It does give you really strange tan marks though that aren't cute in low cut tops.

This kimono is so perfect for ibiza, I have been completely taken in by the palm prints this season but I did however buy this lush one last year but Missguided still do some amazing kimonos this year.

I don't ever want to come home. I want all year round bikinis and sun.

Ibiza style diary - day one

Bikini - TOPSHOP// Lace cover up - TOPSHOP// Hat - New Look// Sunglasses - River Island// Flip flops - F&F at Tesco

As everyone around me/on my social media/anyone I can tell knows I have been super stressed about sitting two exams this week but thankfully it's all over. I thought I'd treat myself to a week in Ibiza because let's face it, I've never met a person who doesn't love ibiza, ever.
I did mostly evening outfits on my blog in Marbella so I wanted to do something different as I am obsessed with beach wear. I think I have walked past just about every girl here and wanted their bikini/kimono/sandals (also want a few bods).
I bought this little beauty of a cover up at the end of last year and I am in love. If I could get away with wearing it at home, I 100% would.
I'm so not ready to put this away until next year but I am so ready for autum/winter clothes shopping.

Considering I have the biggest nail varnish collection that my mum and boyfriend find obscene, I thought I'd do a blog on some of my favourites!

I also wanted to include some of the new false nails I purchased last week from Primark which are amazing quality for £1 each! Plus they are lush to look at. Admittedly I hate stick on nails 90% of the time because I lose 5 out of 10 in the first 24 hours. However, these seem to stick and the glue is super strong as I learnt from spilling it all over my hands and pyjamas (oops).

For all Ciate Dolls house colours see my previous post here.

I think it's fair to say I am a tad obsessed with nail art/varnish/decals/acrylics.

Exams

I am going to try my best to get some blog posts on here in the next couple of days and hopefully schedule some that I had intended to do.

Despite planning my blogs ahead of time, I have become consumed with the work I have to do for two exams next week (say some prayers for me).

I haven't disappeared, I'm just drowning in a sea of books!

Holiday Make-up

Eyeshadow Palette - Topshop/ Concealer - Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin in Medium/ BB Cream - Maybelline Dream Fresh BB in Medium/ Eyeliner - Seventeen 'Tattoo Me'/ Lipstick - Topshop Infrared

I know holidays are for feeling fresh faced which is my way to go through the day but I definitely couldn't live without make up for a whole week. I am all for no make up but I am equally all for glamorous.

Ordinarily I wear NARS sheer glow foundation in Deauville but anyone who has used this knows it is too heavy for holiday and also the shade would be far too pale (usually casper).
I have been using Maybellines BB cream for the past two summers and it is perfect. It's not sticky or thick and it has SPF 30; which admittedly did not stop my face seriously burning but understandable with my translucent skin.

I use the Topshop Eyeshadow palette for filling in my eyebrows as well as occasionally using the cream and brown shades for eyeshadow but I tend to stray from eyeshadow on holiday to keep as natural as I can.

Seventeens 'Tattoo Me' eyeliner is a life changer. It literally will not move. I haven't tried it under water but I am almost positive it probably wouldn't come off in a monsoon. Perfect when its sweaty humid weather on holiday.

I purchased Topshop's lipstick in Infrared after reading so many good reviews about it. I was looking for an orange/red that would suit my skin tone for quite a while. Although many people have said it's quite drying I have had no issues and I am a little bit in love with this.

Also I purchased Maybelline's SuperStay Better Skin concealer based on some good reviews and blogs about this new product. Admittedly I will love this in winter because of it's serious high coverage but I'm disappointed with the lack of colour choice. I chose Medium so I could use this when I got a tan but the difference between the lighter and medium shades are ridiculous! It is also way too high coverage concealer for holidays but it'll be great when I can use the paler shade in winter.

Make up recommendations?

Holiday Style Diary - Day 9

Co-ord - Missguided/ Clutch - Boohoo/ Shoes - Kurt Geiger

These photos don't do this co-ord justice but I had to compete with a sand storm to photo in so not the best conditions! This co-ord is 100% my favourite purchase of the summer. It's a lot brighter pink than it appears on the website but this only fuelled my love for it. It's super flattering and the back is lush!

Holiday Style Diary - Day 8

Top - Topshop/ Shorts - Zara/ Necklace - Topshop/ Ring - Forever 21

I bought these shorts last year for Ibiza but I will wear them for as long as I possibly can. I absolutely love them. They're silky and comfortable and the most beautiful paisley print. There's a lot of similar shorts I have seen in various shops and on various websites like Boohoo this summer but I would definitely recommend picking up a pair of silk runners.

Holiday Style Diary - Day 7

Dress - Topshop/ Clutch - River Island/ Shoes - ASOS

I'm definitely not one for tight dresses as they're usually just really unflattering and make me really self conscious all night but scuba material is an absolute magic maker when it comes to curves.
I would love to be able to wear gorgeous Herve Leger bandage dresses and little body con midis but that's just not great on my body and thats okay, I'm not built to suit everything the fashion world throws my way.

I originally fell in love with this dress on the internet but it wasn't in Manchester stores so I waited until London and went straight on to Oxford Street for this beauty. It also comes in white and lilac which are gorgeous but just totally unpractical for me as I am constantly falling into things and falling over (not drunkenly I promise).

My clutch was inspired by Rosie Londoner who posted a picture of this lush lemon bag on her instagram and I went on the hunt for it. I have had so many compliments on this bag and it doesn't work with everything but it definitely looks good with my many LWD.

TERRIBLE tan lines too.
